How many CEU's is this certification worth?

This certification has been approved for 1.9 NASM continuing education credits. Once you successfully complete it, the only additional requirement will be your CPR and First Aid certification.

Are there any prerequisites for the certification?

No, but it is best suited for trainers who have recently completed a base-level certification or are in the process of becoming certified.

Where do I have to go for the on-site practical application?

All in-person sessions (including practical's) take place at our facility at 1558 E 53rd Street, Chicago, Illinois 60615.

How does the in-person/practical application work?

You’ll complete observation, cueing, and coaching assignments during in-person sessions and submit video-based coaching tasks through LearnWorlds.

Who can become Personal Training Foundations certified?

This certification is designed for newly certified or aspiring personal trainers who want practical, hands-on experience and coaching tools they can apply immediately. However, any trainer can learn a lot from this certification. 

What will I learn?

You'll gain confidence in cueing, programming, understanding anatomy, reading movement, and applying regressions, progressions, and lateralizations. You will also learn valuable communication strategies that will help you retain and gain new clients.

How long will I have to complete the certification?

The certification is 5 weeks in duration, with weekly content pacing to ensure completion by the end of the 5th week.

Will I have to renew this certification?

Renewal is not required.

If I am injured, can I participate in this certification?

Yes. You can still complete all coaching and observation tasks. Let the instructor know in advance so adjustments can be made.

How much exercise is there during the certification?

This is a coaching-based certification. You’ll be learning exercises but won’t be completing workouts. The focus is on observing, cueing, and demonstrating. 

What do I need to bring?

Bring a laptop, notebook, pen, water, and a clean pair of gym shoes (no outside shoes). You’ll be observing, moving, and coaching throughout the practical sessions.

How will I receive the materials for the certification?

All materials are uploaded to your LearnWorlds portal. You’ll gain access after registration.

What is your cancellation policy?

We ask for notice at least 28 days prior to the first in-person session for a full refund. Within 14 days, your enrollment may be transferred to a future cohort but not refunded.
